The West Des Moines Community Schools (WDMCS) Foundation is hosting the first annual Tiger Gala presented by Shive-Hattery with keynote speaker and Valley High School alumnus, Chad Buchanan, general manager of the Indiana Pacers of the National Basketball Association. The event is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 8, 2022, at the new Mid-American RecPlex Center in West Des Moines. The Tiger Gala is open to anyone interested in supporting the WDMCS, and will serve as a core fundraising event for the school’s foundation which supports programs from pre-K through high school. The event will include a live auction, music, and arts entertainment by students and graduates of the WDMCS. The goal of the event is to bring together members of the West Des Moines and surrounding community to celebrate and support today’s teachers, students, and staff of all 13 schools in the District. The Tiger Gala was established to raise funds to support the future success of our students and school district. Our focus is to create opportunities for students to participate and excel in the 4 A’s – academics, activities, arts and athletics.
