A grant was recently awarded to Valley High School Reading Resource Teacher, Blythe Stanfel. Funds from the grant have been utilized to purchase alternative seating for Ms. Stanfel's classroom. It is because of sponsors like West Bank, that we are able to provide our district teachers additional funds for their very worthy classroom projects. Just another way that the West Des Moines Community Schools Foundation helps bring the community together to support our students and teachers.
The Tiger Experience
Think back to the great memories that you have of your own school days. Your memories may consist of attending or participating in athletics, band, vocal, performing arts, camps or other available opportunities. Our students within the WDMCS are lucky enough to have all of these opportunities available today which collectively create the Tiger Experience. The Tiger Experience builds memories that today's students will cherish for a lifetime. Because of the Student Support program, students are given the opportunity to enjoy the Tiger Experience regardless of means.
